Sleeping Machine is a film and video-installation that explores the invisible threshold between sleep and urban life. Developed during an artist residency in Chengdu, China, the work emerges from encounters with abandoned spaces, sleeping bodies, and the coexistence of historical ruins and rapidly expanding urban landscapes.
A fictional ghost wanders through the city, gently putting its inhabitants to sleep. Through layered projections onto translucent fabric and multiple exposures of different locations, the installation transforms Chengdu into a dreamlike territory where memory, architecture, technology, and nature dissolve into one another. Sleeping Machine reflects on sleep not as absence, but as an invisible force that inhabits the contemporary city.

INFRA is a dream I had some time ago—an image that kept recurring in my mind over and over again. During my experiences with sleep paralysis, I discovered and felt an altered state of consciousness that I couldn’t control while sleeping.
In this video, I attempt to represent the different phases of sleep we go through, moving through the REM stage—where brain activity intensifies and paralysis occurs—until, in some cases, reaching the lucid dreaming phase.
I use both analog and digital formats, with interventions in @touchdesigner and other processes developed along the way.
This project has been in the making throughout the year—initially as part of the Live Cinema and Mapping diploma I completed at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and later as a personal exploration.

Synopsis: The arrival of a mare triggers a series of events in Bernicia's life that alter her world as she slowly assumes the personality of a cowboy. Throughout her journey, she must overcome several obstacles that threaten her new desires.
The Cowboy is an inspiring drama about self-determination.

A group of people endures their lives as they are affected by their existence. They experience intense political moments in their country, while questions about the understanding of reality arise.

Completely edited-in-camera, this short film is made up of three full minutes of 16mm black and white roll. What is promised by means of an illusionistic start, quickly reveals itself to be anti-illusionistic, revealing, playing and distancing itself from the 'trick'. Through a series of reflections, mirages and unexpected movements, a portrait and tour of the Environmental Axis is formed, an important area located in the center of Bogotá, Colombia.
Synopsis: Juliana wakes up with a rash on her skin. After several healing processes, a psychic reads her tarot; on the television screen, an image of a place Juliana must go to is projected. An eclipse coincides with the discovery of a fungus. Juliana bathes in a lake, and a dog continues to guide her path.
"The word ‘Devotion’, as I am using it, does not refer to the embodiment of a specific religious form. Rather, it is the opening or the interruption that allows us to have an experience that is hidden, and to accept with our hearts our given situation. When cinema does this, when it subverts our absorption in the temporal and reveals the depths of our own reality, it opens to a fuller sense of ourselves and our world. It is alive as a form of devotion."

In Bogotá, Colombia, the Centro Cultural Jorge Eliécer Gaitán was abandoned after the death of the mayor Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. A portrait of the present state of this abandoned center, which remains part of the city’s wild urban landscape yet stands in complete abandonment, alongside his tomb located at the heart of the building.
